Cardiac Rehab - Decatur Morgan Hospital Parkway Campus

Decatur Morgan Hospital offers Cardiac Rehab, a physician-ordered phase II monitored program to provide strengthening and conditioning to patients who have undergone cardiac procedures, have stable angina, or have suffered a cardiac event. Cardiac Rehab may also be ordered for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) who meet qualifications, to improve cardiac health and prevent further complications that require hospitalization. Education is provided in exercise, dietary and nutritional recommendations, monitoring symptoms, and vital signs, smoking cessation, and encouraging patients in creating a new lifestyle for themselves.

Our Cardiac Rehab is staffed by specially-trained registered nurses, with input from our physical therapists, exercise specialists, nutritionists, and psychologists/counselors. The medical director is a cardiac specialist. Cardiac Rehab is by appointment only and provided with a physician’s prescription.

Pulmonary Rehab - Decatur Morgan Hospital Parkway Campus

Pulmonary Rehab is our physician-ordered program designed for patients with moderate to very severe COPD. Our program includes physician prescribed exercise at each session, education and training tailored to each patient’s individual needs, including information on respiratory management and smoking cessation (if appropriate), psychosocial assessment, and outcomes assessment. Participants work toward improved respiratory health, increased exercise and movement, and a better quality of life. Pulmonary Rehab is by appointment only and provided with a physician’s prescription.
